AI will tell you if AI is lying. What could go wrong.

It appears the burgeoning field of artificial intelligence has finally provided us with the ultimate solution to its own growing problem: simply ask it. Experts, in what can only be described as a stroke of genius, now advise that if you suspect an AI-generated communication is a phishing scam, you should turn right back to the very technology for clarification. It’s an elegant, almost poetic solution, requiring nothing more than a polite query to the algorithm, which will presumably then issue an honest, unvarnished appraisal of its own nefarious intent.

This groundbreaking approach spares us the tedious burden of critical thinking or, heaven forbid, actual human verification. Why bother with the complexities of identifying deepfake voices or meticulously crafted fraudulent emails when the digital perpetrator itself can confirm its bona fides? This marks a monumental leap in digital ethics, where the responsibility for honesty now rests squarely on the shoulders of the very machines designed to be endlessly deceptive. Truly, a brighter, more trusting tomorrow awaits.
